The facility will use innovative robotics technology to pick, pack, and ship customer orders.
Seefried Industrial Properties is pleased to announce the development of a build-to-suit fulfillment center for one of the world’s largest e-commerce retailers is underway. Located along Pine Meadow Drive, the 2,628,000-square-foot building will cover approximately 73 acres of land within the Chatham Mega Site and will use innovative robotics technology to pick, pack, and ship customer orders. The client selected the 360-acre lot within the Mega Site because of its logistical advantages and easy access to the I-16 / I-95 interchange. The site also provides quick access to the Port of Savannah and is less than 15 minutes to Savannah International Airport.
Standing at approximately 100 feet tall, the new four-story fulfillment center will feature 51 loading docks, 1,024 parking spaces for employees and 212 stalls for trailer parking.
An early August 2022 completion is expected. Graycor is serving as the general contractor, Lamar Johnson Collaborative is serving as the architect and Thomas & Hutton Engineering is serving as the civil engineer.
