GYR3 Wins NAIOP AZ Award

The GYR3 IXD was one of the largest Amazon facilities to come to Arizona in 2020.

Best of NAIOP is one of the Commercial Real Estate Industry’s most anticipated events, recognizing the best in everything from building and design industry leaders. Seefried Industrial Properties, Willmeng and DLR Group transformed the former TEN Industrial Distribution Center Phase I into a state-of-the-art facility for Amazon. The GYR3 IXD was one of the largest Amazon facilities to come to Arizona in 2020.

Extensive renovations and site work were imperative to this tenant improvement. Office space was renovated, three new restroom facilities were added. Remote break rooms, new lighting and sprinklers were added under conveyance platforms and new security features were installed.

The facility was not originally air conditioned, which presented a unique challenge. Insulation was added along with 66 new rooftop air conditioning units to cool the entire facility. Overall, the tenant improvement was 827,000 square feet.
